Meet Joy Cotoner

Joy Cotoner is a Filipina-Canadian pageant titleholder, catwalk trainer, and the founder of CASA — Catwalk & Shoot Academy.
Her journey in pageantry has been shaped by a passion for confidence, representation, personal growth, and empowering others to step into their full potential. Joy proudly held the titles of Mrs. Southern Ontario 2023 and Mrs. Canada Universe 2023, experiences that helped shape her understanding of what it takes to prepare, perform, and present yourself with confidence on and off the stage.
In 2023, Joy made history as the first Filipina-Canadian to represent Canada at the Mrs. Universe pageant in the Philippines. Representing Canada on an international stage was not only a personal achievement, but also an opportunity to celebrate her cultural heritage and advocate for greater representation and empowerment for women.
The Vision Behind CASA
Joy founded CASA — Catwalk & Shoot Academy with a vision to create a supportive space where individuals can develop confidence, refine their skills, and discover the power of authentic self-presentation.
Drawing from her own experience in pageantry, performance, and creative projects, Joy works with aspiring pageant contestants, models, and individuals who want to strengthen their catwalk, stage presence, posing, and overall presentation.
Her approach goes beyond simply teaching someone how to walk or pose. CASA is about helping each individual discover their unique presence, build confidence, and learn how to step into any room, stage, or opportunity with purpose.

Through coaching, mentorship, and hands-on training, she helps individuals refine their presentation while encouraging them to embrace their own voice, identity, and strengths.
